Check out our exclusive 1,425/1 golf each-way double for this week’s Tour Championship in Atlanta! The top 30 players on the FedEx Cup standings are gearing up for the PGA Tour’s season finale, where a starting-strokes system will once again be in play.
Scottie Scheffler, sitting at the top of the points list, will kick off the tournament at ten under par, closely followed by Xander Schauffele at eight under. Hideki Matsuyama and Keegan Bradley, winners of the first two FedEx Cup playoff events, are trailing by three and four shots respectively, while the rest of the field will start with a deficit of between five and ten shots.
With Schauffele in great form and starting from the second position, he seems like a strong contender. However, it’s Sam Burns who stands out as a promising each-way bet. Despite beginning his Tour Championship journey six shots behind, Burns’ recent performances have been impressive. He finished ninth in the event last season and has been in top form, securing fifth place at the St Jude and runner-up at the BMW.
Looking beyond the favorites, Matteo Manassero is a name to keep an eye on as he makes a comeback to his best form. The Italian golfer has shown glimpses of his former self this year, claiming victory at the Jonsson Workwear Open in South Africa and establishing himself as a regular contender on the DP World Tour. Although not as accurate off the tee as before, Manassero’s experience as a Wentworth champion could give him an edge on the Brabazon Course, known for favoring precision over power.
