Premier League top six finish betting odds
Half of those spots are reserved for City, Arsenal, and Liverpool, while Chelsea and Spurs look a cut above United when it comes to the traditional big six. That leaves just one spot and given Aston Villa handed Bayern Munich their first defeat of the season on Wednesday, I’d much rather back them – or, at this point, Newcastle, Fulham, Bournemouth or Brighton – to grab it ahead of the struggling Red Devils.
On current form, almost certainly not. But current form sees Erik ten Hag out of the door by Christmas, and then it’s a different landscape. The squad is arguably good enough to finish in the top six but there are six better teams right now, maybe more, so no, they won’t.
I can’t see it. There is some potential upside if United upgrade their manager and finally call time on the hapless Erik ten Hag, but the Red Devils will still have a squad full of disappointing performers. I’d much rather be on Brighton to finish in the top six at 3-1 than United at 7-4.
